Dillisk Quiche
You Will Need :
17g Dillisk Seaweed
1 small packet of ready made shortcrust pastry
300ml milk
3 or 4 fresh eggs
50g grated cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste
How to make it:
Roll out the pastry into a greased and lined 8 inch pie tin
Leave pastry to rest at room temperature for 30 mins
After 30 mins trim excess pastry off pie dish.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius or Gas Mark 5
Finely chop Dillisk (easiest to do in a blender)
Place into a sieve and put into a bowl of water for approx. 10 mins.
Remove sieve from bowl and pat Dillisk until dry.
Sprinkle Dillisk and grated Dillisk into pie dish.
Put eggs into a jug and beat until mixed
Add milk to your eggs and beat again
Pour into pie dish.
Season with salt and pepper.
Bake for 20 mins or until the mixture is firm – check with a skewer if desired, the skewer should come out clean.
